Solo

Instalation and Configuration:

For solo mining, first will you need to install the wallet and then the miner by following the steps below.

1 – Download the wallet “astato-qt”;

2 – Extract and copy to any folder in your /home/user/anyfolder and make sure you have permission to execute, if it is not, execute the command by the terminal “chmod +x astato-qt”;

3 – Example of the Config file “astato.conf”;

rpcuser=rpc_astato
rpcpassword=trelele (its a example, change to a secure password)
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=4210
listen=1
server=1
addnode=127.0.0.1

4 – Copy to the folder “/home/user/.astato/” (Linux) or “% appdata%\astato” (Windows), keep the file name “astato.conf”;

5 – Doing this when starting the executable, the wallet will be created in the folder “% appdata%\astato” or “/home/user/.astato/” if it does not already exist;

6 – Download the miner here by choosing the version suitable for your operating system;

7 – Copy the minerd executable to the folder where you copied the astato-qt file and make sure it is allowed to execute.

8 – Run the Miner with the command below:

./minerd --url=http://127.0.0.1:4210 --userpass=rpc_astato:trelele

The suggested miner is just a didactic example, given that it is not a profitable method. For actual implementations you can rely on this article.

Doing the final check:

If all is fine you will see your hash rate appear on the minerd, otherwise review the previous steps.

Note:

If port 4210 is being used by another program you can change it in the astato.conf file, remembering to make the corresponding change in the minerd command line.

For Linux the following dependencies must be resolved:

To compiler:

apt-get install build-essential libssl-dev git libssl1.0.0-dbg
apt-get install libdb-dev libdb++-dev libboost-all-dev libminiupnpc-dev libminiupnpc-dev libevent-dev libcrypto++-dev libgmp3-dev libqtgui4
apt-get install libcurl3 libqrencode3

To run:

apt-get install libcurl3
apt-get install libqrencode3
apt-get install libboost-system1.55.0
apt-get install libboost-filesystem1.55.0
apt-get install libboost-program-options1.55.0
apt-get install libboost-thread1.55.0
apt-get install libssl1.0.0

Para Debian 9 baixe o arquivo “astato-debian-8-9.tar.gz” com pacotes que não fazem parte do repositório padrão.

Exemple to astato.conf:

rpcuser=usuario
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=Port_Number
server=1
addnode=node001.astato.org or 127.0.0.1

Miner command:

minercmdname –url=http://127.0.0.1:Numero_da_Porta –userpass=usuario:senha

Consider using a pool, it is more profitable for most cases.
